Instalasi Database Oracle

Sebelumnya aku mau tanya apa sih database oracle itu? Database oracle 10g adalah database pertama yang di desain untuk grid komputing, paling fleksibel dan paling murah untuk mengatur data perusahaan. Untuk yang belum punya silahkan di  Download di Sini.
Oke langsung saja ke tahap instalasi:)

1. Open the ORACLE 10g folder then click setup. Click picture to zoom.

(1. Buka Folder mentahan dari ORACLE 10g kemudian pilih Setup (Klik foto untuk memperbesar))

2. A new Black window like a Command line will appear, wait until it closed and change into Installation Method window

(2. Kemudian akan keluar sebuah jendela hitam seperti Command Line, tunggu sampe keluar gambar pilihan setup)

There are 2 methods of ORACLE 10g installation: Basic Installation and Advanced Installation. Basic Installation will do full installation with standard configuration and using one password for all database account, meanwhile the Advanced Installation will add some addition configuration such as automatic back up, product language, alternative storage, different password for SYS, SYSTEM, SYSMAN, and DBSNMP, etc. If you really need the addition configuration choose the Advanced Installation. For an easy Installation, choose basic Installation. Here i choose the Basic Installation as the methode.

(Terdapat dua mode Instalasi yaitu Basic Installation dan Advanced Installation. Basic Installation akan melakukan instalasi full ORACLE 10g dengan pengaturan standar dan menggunakan satu password untuk semua akun database. Sedangkan Advanced Installation akan melakukan pengaturan tambahan seperti pengaturan back up otomatis, bahasa produk, pilihan alternatif penyimpanan dan lain lain, juga menggunakan password yang berbeda untuk SYS, SYSTEM, SYSMAN dan DBSNMP. Jika memang membutuhkan pengaturan ini, pilih Advanced Installation. Untuk kemudahan pilih Basic Installation. Disini kita akan menggunakan Basic Installation sebagai metode Penginstalan.)

• Oracle Home Location is a location where we will installed the ORACLE. As a default, it placed in D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_2 but if you want to install it in another location, click browse and choose the location.
• Installation Type is a type of ORACLE product we'd like to install. There are 3 type of installation which are Enterprise Edition usually used by enterprise, Standard Edition is standard version with less feature, and Personal Edition for personal used. To get the Full feature choose the Enterprise Edition
• Create Starter Database will create an addition database, we can use it later to learn how to use database of ORACLE. Don't forget to fill and remember the password because it will be used when the installation have completed. Click next.

• (Oracle Home Location merupakan lokasi tempat penginstalan Oracle. Defaultnya berada di D:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_2 tapi jika kita ingin menginstal di lokasi lain silahkan klik Browse dan pilih lokasi.)
• (Installation Type adalah tipe instalasi produk Oracle yang bisa kita pilih. Ada 3 pilihan Instalasi yaitu Enterprise Edition biasa digunakan oleh perusahaan-perusahaan, Standard Edition merupakan versi standard, dan Personal Edition untuk pemakaian perorangan. Untuk kelengkapan fitur sebaiknya pilih Enterprise Edition.)

• (Create Starter Database merupakan database tambahan Oracle atau database awal yang bisa digunakan untuk keperluan belajar. Jangan lupa untuk mencentang dan mengisi Password, karena password ini akan digunakan untuk tahap login saat instalasi selesai. Kemudian klik Next.)

Preparing the Installation:

(Persiapan Instalasi:)

Then the Installer will check the computer, is it fill the minimum spefication for the installation or not (in this case we use Enterprise Edition). If it fills the spesification, then installation can be continued. Click Next.

(Instaler kemudian akan masuk ke bagian pengecekan, apakah komputer kita mempunyai spesifikasi minimum untuk pilihan instalasi yang dipilih (dalam hal ini Enterprise Edition). Jika memenuhi (sukses) maka instalasi dapat dilanjutkan. Klik Next.)

The next window will inform that Windows Firewall blocking the feature javaw in public and private network. Give access by clicking Allow Access button.

(Tampilan selanjutnya akan muncul jendela yang menginformasikan Windows Firewall melakukan pemblokiran fitur dari javaw di public dan private network. Berikan access dengan klik Allow Access.)

Next window will show the summary of the installation, what product language we used, and the Global Setting. Click Install to start the installation.

(Jendela selanjutnya adalah  Summary atau Rangkuman, apa saja yang di instal, bahasa produk yang digunakan, dan Global Setting. Klik Install untuk memulai instalasi.)

Installation Process:

In the next process, The Assistant Configuration will configure and start the component that we choose before:

(Di proses selanjutya, Konfigurasi Assisten akan melakukan konfigurasi dan memulai komponen yang dipilih di tahap sebelumnya.)

There are 3 tools that will do a configuration, they are Oracle Configuration Assistant, Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, and iSQL*Plus Configuration Assistant. Wait until the configuration finished.

Here is a picture when Oracle Database Configuration Assistant configure the database:

(Ada 3 tool yang akan melakukan konfigurasi, diantaranya Oracle Configuration Assistant, Oracle Database Configuration Assistant, dan iSQL*Plus Configuration Assistant. Tunggu sampai konfigurasi selesai.Berikut tampilan Oracle Database Configuration Assistant ketika mengkonfigurasi database:)

When Oracle Database Configuration Assistant finished the configuration, a notification window will appear inform that the database has been created.

(Ketika Oracle Database Configuration Assistant selesai menkonfigurasi akan ada jendela notifikasi yang memberitahukan jika database sudah di buat.)

In this window there is also Password Management button to change the password of the default username such as SYS, SYSTEM, SCOTT, ANONYMOUS, IX and etc. This button also useful to lock and unlock those users, but better not to pay attention for this, cause we can do it later after the installation. Klik OK.

(Di jendela ini juga terdapat tombol Password Management yang berguna untuk mengubah password - password dari username default seperti SYS, SYSTEM, SCOTT, ANONYMOUS, IX dan lain lain. Password Management juga berguna untuk me-lock dan unlock user - user tersebut. Tapi sebaiknya hal ini diabaikan saja, kita bisa melakukan ini nantinya setelah instalasi selesai. Klik OK.)

Finished the Installation. Click Exit

(Dan instalasi pun selesai. Klik Exit.)

But the the installation is not finished here, cause there some few steps to do before using the database. When Exit clicked, Oracle will bring us to browser with this apperance:

(Namun Instalasi belum berakhir sampai disini karena masih ada tahapan lanjutan yang harus dilakukan. Ketika Exit di klik, Oracle akan membawa kita ke browser dengan tampilan berikut: )

Click OK then fill the username with system and password with the password you use in the first step above

(Klik OK kemudian isi kolom Username dengan system dan kolom Password di isi dengan password yang kita isikan pada gambar 3 diatas.)

In the Oracle Database 10g Licensing Information page, click i agree button, then close the browser. Next, we have to set the Oracle 10g so it will be compatible and can be run in windows 7. To do this click Start - All Programs - Oracle - OraDb10g_home1 - Application Development - and right click in SQL plus then choose Properties.

(Pada Halaman Oracle Database 10g Licensing Information, klik tombol i agree. Lalu tutup browser.

Selanjutnya adalah mengatur agar Oracle 10g kompatibel dan dapat dijalankan di Windows 7. Caranya adalah buka Start - All Programs - Oracle - OraDb10g_home1 - Application Development - Kemudian klik kanan pada SQL plus lalu pilih Properties.)

In tab Compatibility, make sure you check Run this program in compatibility made for and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3), don't forget to check Run this program as an administrator then click OK.

(Pada Tab Compatibility, centang Run this program in compatibility made for lalu pilih Windows XP (Service Pack 3), jangan lupa untuk mencentang Run this program as an administrator lalu klik OK.)

To start running the SQL *PLUS click  Start - All Programs - Oracle - OraDb10g_home1 - Application Development - SQL Plus and enter the Username and Password. Default Username is system

(Untuk mulai menjalankan SQL*PLUS klik Start - All Programs - Oracle - OraDb10g_home1 - Application Development - SQL Plus lalu masukkan Username dan Passwordnya. Default Username adalah system.)
